Where to Find Eki Stamps in Osaka
This is a companion post to several other eki stamp location guides! It’s to give you some ideas about which eki stamps are available in Osaka, and where to find them. The info here was compiled from my own stamp adventures, plus info from the Eki Stamp Collectors Facebook group.
Osaka is one of the rare cities where the metro stations AND train stations have stamps, so there’s lots of collecting to do!
You may also be interested in stamp locations in Kyoto, too.

Before You Go: Eki Stamp Collecting Essentials
You’ll need a notebook to collect stamps in, a pencil board to put behind the page you’re stamping (it’ll make the stamps come out clearer) and a decent pen to write down the date/location that you got the stamp.
I also recommend taking some pieces of blank scrap paper so you can test a stamp before committing it to your notebook, or to use in the stamp machines where a notebook won’t fit.
Also, as always: if you can’t find a specific stamp in a station, find a staff member and ask. They’ve always been very helpful and willing to bring me to the table, after I spent 20 minutes wandering around trying to find it!

Osaka Station

All the stations along the JR Osaka Loop Line have stamps, including Osaka Station.
In the main Osaka Station, the stamp is located outside the Central Ticket Gate.
Osaka-Umeda Station
This is one of those stations that has a lot of lines and train companies overlapping each other. In or near the station you can get the following stamps:
- Hankyu Railway Osaka Umeda Station, INSIDE the ticket gate
- Hanshin Electric Railway Osaka Umeda Station, at the ticket window (must ask for it?)
- Osaka Metro Umeda Station, at the station master’s office
Shin-Osaka Station

There’s three stamps here: the regular eki stamp which is at the East Ticket Gate, the Osaka Metro stamp, and a smaller stamp at the Shin-Osaka Tourist Information Center desk (shown above).
JR Morinomiya Station (Osaka Castle)

This is the one that has a stamp featuring the nearby Osaka Castle! If you’re headed to the castle for sightseeing, you’ll probably pass by this station anyway so it’s worth snagging.
The stamp table is located just inside the ticket gate. If you don’t see the table, ask the staff at the ticket counter.
Be sure to also grab the stamps in the Morinomiya Metro station, as they also feature Osaka Castle.

Metro Stations
All the metro stations have stamps! That’s 133 to collect. Wow!
They’re either just inside the ticket gate, next to the ticket window, or by the station master’s office.
