Black Friday Travel Deals 2024
Black Friday (November 29th) sales are coming up, and some of them are live NOW!
End-of-year sales like this are a good opportunity to save a few bucks, especially if you’re wanting to stock up on certain things like merino wool t-shirts or socks. But there’s also some really good discounts for travel activities like tours. I’ve also seen some good discounts for those Digital Nomads who want tech or blogging software stuff.

Osprey Winter Sale (up to 40% off)
Osprey makes excellent-quality backpacks and rolling luggage, and if you’ve been wanting one of their bags then now’s the time to get it. Check out what’s on sale here. Sale is November 14-December 2, so get going!

Toad&Co (25% off, various giveaways)
Toad&Co. (who make fab merino wool clothes) has a lot going on this Black Friday. Sales run November 26-December 2, with clothing items 25% off sitewide and up to 70% off select items. Then each day they’re doing “holiday treats” which is an extra giveaway, like a $100 gift card giveaway on 11/27.

Hostels & Hotels
Booking.com (up to 35% off)
Book hotels between November 21 – December 4, 2024 for stays November 21 – December 31, 2024. It’s a fairly short time-frame but if you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway this would be a good place to look!
Hostelworld (save up to 55%)
Selected hostels are up to 55% off now through December 4th. Book and travel between November 16, 2024 and April 30, 2025!

Tours & Activities
Contiki (up to 25% off tours)
Contiki has put a bunch of their tours on sale for up to 25% off NOW through December 5th. Here’s the Black Friday sales page and here’s some of the tours on sale:
- Japan in a Week, which covers Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with a day trip to Nara.
- Vietnam Highlights, a 10-day tour which covers Ho Chi Minh City up to the Hanoi in the north. You can also add on 4 days to do the Ha Giang Loop! (Read about my experience on the loop here— not with Contiki however.)
- Thailand, Laos and Cambodia Adventure, a 2 week tour which covers three countries!
Contiki tours are great particularly for younger folks between 18 and 35, and those who want want something highly social. For their tours: they don’t charge a booking fee, you only have to put down a $200 deposit, and you can change dates fairly easily. A good introduction to group tours if you’ve never been before.
Go City (up to 12% off)
Go City has those passes where you buy one and pick a certain number of activities or entrance tickets to visit within a day or so! It’s a great way to save money when you want to see a lot of tourist sights in one location in a short amount of time. These promo codes are good through December 4, 2024!

EatWith is a fun cultural activities website where you get to have dinner with a local (and other travelers)! Their Black Friday deals run November 25-29, 2024.

G Adventures (up to 30% off tours)
G Adventures has their cyber sale going now through December 3rd. Here’s the main sales page and here’s some highlights of what’s on sale:

GYG’s Black Friday sale is live NOW and runs through (sometime in December? They don’t actually say…).
